Line Post, Top Rail and Bracing Specifications

(Option 1) Line posts shall be roll-formed C-Post from steel conforming to ASTM-AA570, Grade 60, 3.25'' x 2.50'' - 4.50 pounds per foot with a minimum bending strength of 902 pounds under a 6-foot cantilever load, continuous coated with 4 ounces of zinc per square foot per ASTM-F1043 Type A, or 2875'' O.D. standard weight Schedule 40 pipe with minimum bending strength of 443 pounds under a 6-foot cantilever load coated with 1.8 ounces of zinc per square foot in accordance with ASTM-F1083.

(Option 2) Line posts shall be roll-formed C-Post from steel conforming to ASTM-A570, Grade 60, 3.25'' x 2.50'' - 5.40 pounds per ft. with a minimum bending strength of 1050 pounds under a 6-foot cantilever load, continuous coated with 4 ounces of zinc per square foot per ASTM-F1043 Type A, or 4'' O.D. standard weight Schedule 40 pipe with minimum bending strength of 998 pounds under a 6-foot cantilever load coated with 1.8 ounces of zinc per square foot in accordance with ASTM-F1083.

Top Rail and Bracing Specifications

Top and brace rails shall be roll-formed sections of 1.625'' & 1.25'' 1.35 pounds per foot with minimum bending strength of 263 pounds on 10-foot span continuous coated with 4 ounces of zinc per square foot per ASTM-F1043 Type A, or 1.66'' O.D. standard weight Schedule 40 pipe with minimum bending strength of 235 pounds on 10-foot span coated with 1.8 ounces of zinc per square foot in accordance with ASTM-F1083.
