Wood Fencing

Wood fence installations can benefit from the inherent long life, installation ease and strength of the Gregory C-Post fencing post and bracket system. Gregory's exclusive mounting system allows the C-Post and metal bracket to be hidden from view while eliminating many of the complaints and customer call backs associated with warped, split, or rotting wood fence posts. With the roll-formed C-Posts and bracket system you get the beauty of wood with the strength and durability of steel.

Gregory's uniquely designed adjustable metal bracket anchors securely to the post while invisibly holding horizontal wood rails for attaching fence boards. The brackets also adjust vertically and horizontally to easily adjust to uneven terrain. The result: the beauty of a wood fence without the inherent problems of wood posts. C-Posts are stronger to provide wind-loading strength that surpasses any wood post structure.

Installation Is As Easy as 1,2,3...

1. Set Posts and Install Brackets

C-Posts are installed with the open channel facing out to accept the exclusive Gregory metal brackets. No drilling or welding is necessary! Just slide the bracket into place anywhere along the channel and tighten the bolt, locking the bracket in place. The unique design allows the bracket to adjust not only vertically, but also horizontally, allowing the fence to easily follow the slope of the terrain.

2. Install Wood Rails

Here's a great advantage that the Gregory post and bracket system has over all the others. The 2 x 4 wood rails are butted up to the C-Posts when installed. Since they have the same thickness, the framework now provides a perfect surface whether building a "solid picket" design with all the fence boards on one side, or a "shadow box" design with the boards staggered on both sides.

3. Attach Fence Boards

The C-Post and metal bracket system allows the bracket to be completely covered by the fence boards on the outside and, at the customer's option, the C-Post can be covered on the inside line of the fence by simply covering it with a fence board. This will give an all-wood appearance on both sides of the fence, while supplying your customer with the strength and durability afforded by steel C-Post.
