Gregory Strut Expands with New Manufacturing Plant in Athens, AL

Gregory Strut proudly announces the opening of its newest manufacturing plant, located in Athens, Ala. Since breaking ground in December 2022, Gregory Strut has worked closely with Fite Building Company to construct the 90,000-square-foot facility on 72 acres in Limestone County, Alabama. 

Joining Gregory Industries’ Decatur-based rolled tube plant in northern Alabama, the Athens facility will largely focus on producing G-STRUT® metal framing and back-to-back channels. The plant will provide Gregory Strut customers with significantly faster production times and warehouse storage.  The highly automated facility delivers advanced manufacturing capabilities, making it the most modern and state-of-the-art strut production mill in the world. 

The centralized location, situated near rail and highway lines, also helps facilitate distribution and enhance the company’s world-class support for Gregory Strut customers, providing lead times substantially below the industry standard.
