Matt Gregory Featured on WHBC’s Kenny & JT Show
Gregory Industries' CEO Matt Gregory recently appeared on 1480 WHBC’s Kenny & JT Show, sharing insights on the company’s growth, deep Northeast Ohio roots, and the values guiding its success. The conversation ranged from the company’s new North Canton headquarters to community engagement, and even Matt’s longtime role as a lacrosse coach.
A Headquarters Built for Growth
The discussion opened with Gregory Industries’ new North Canton headquarters, which recently hosted its ribbon-cutting ceremony. Matt explained that the location was selected with people in mind:
“We wanted a location that felt open and welcoming, surrounded by green space — a place that would help us attract and retain top talent.”
The facility represents the first step in a broader expansion strategy, reflecting Gregory Industries’ commitment to long-term growth and investment in its people.
Partnering with the Cleveland Browns
“So many of our employees and customers are Browns fans, and as a proud Northeast Ohio company, we aim to engage with our community, foster that shared sense of pride, and connect with talented individuals who want to be part of our team.”
The partnership also created opportunities to give back. Gregory Industries hosted a private practice for Pathway Caring for Children, a local foster care agency, providing a memorable experience for children and staff alike.
A Legacy of Leadership
Gregory Industries has been a family business for more than a century. Matt is the fifth generation to lead the company, and the sixth generation is already contributing, with his daughter recently joining the team.
Safety Products That Matter
From guardrails to end terminals, Gregory Industries plays a critical role in keeping people safe. Matt emphasized the responsibility behind the work:
“We like to say our products matter because people’s lives matter. It looks like a simple product, but there’s a lot of engineering and know-how that goes into stopping a 50,000-pound vehicle.”
Today, 60% of the nation’s guardrail is produced in Canton, Ohio, a point of pride for the company and the region
America Builds with Gregory
The interview closed with Gregory introducing the company’s brand message: America Builds with Gregory. It reflects not only what the company manufactures but the role it plays in building infrastructure, supporting communities, and creating opportunities nationwide.
“Our products go into infrastructure projects throughout the country. Wherever there’s a building project, chances are we’re there too.”
At Gregory Industries, growth is not just about business — it’s about people, community, and a commitment to excellence that spans generations.
